Benjamin Haberkorn was admitted to the Brussels bar in 1997 after working at a Chicago law firm. He then worked for several years with a leading Brussels-based international law firm (Linklaters) as a corporate and M&A lawyer, in both its Brussels and New York offices.
Benjamin Haberkorn has been involved in major local and international M&A transactions, such as merger of banks, divestment of public companies, management buy-outs, acquisitions of assets or private companies in various industries (automotive, printing, food, security, internet, software, railroad, telecom, etc).
He has worked on several joint venture projects and transfers of technology/know-how projects in Belgium and abroad (Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, Ireland, U.K., U.S.), involving the setting up of complex structures and the negotiation and drafting of tailored shareholders agreements or distribution/licensing agreements.
Benjamin regularly advises and assists local and foreign clients in the following matters:
- acquisition of companies or assets;
- private equity investments;
- joint ventures and shareholder agreements;
- corporate restructurings.
